Architours 2019 | TOUR 6 | 5 OCT | PM

Tour 6 emphasizes exciting design and craft at the human scale with projects in the small-medium range. Starting with private house in Kembangan, this projects astonishing variety of brickwork immediately catches the eye. This exploration of material as a tool in the hands of a craftman extends to the second project, a house that is driven by a desire to blend in rather than stand out. What does stand out from the project though, is a fantastic perforated screen that represents the new age of craft - one of parametric considerations. The tour rounds off with a seafront Mediterranean-themed restaurant. Decked in a fusion of tropical and thematic influences, the space is intertwined with its beachy context and perhaps a perfect last stop for an evening drink!
